SAIT Trojans Male Athlete of the Week
Owen LeClare - Men's Hockey
SAIT Trojans men's hockey player Owen LaClare may not have scored a goal this weekend, but that did not stop him from shooting to the top of the ACAC's scoring race after their sweep of the Portage College Voyageurs.
In Friday's narrow 2-1 victory, the second-year forward assisted on the game-winning goal in the second period. Less than 24 hours later, he added an outstanding six more helpers, as his Trojans cruised to an 8-1 victory to close out the two-game road trip in Lac La Biche, Alta., with seven assists – tying him for the league lead in points.
Owen LaClare is a Power and Process Operations student at SAIT.
SAIT Trojans Female Athlete of the Week
Jadyn Leong - Women's Volleyball
SAIT Trojans women's volleyball player Jadyn Leong had a very impressive showing in her first game of the season last week against the visiting Ambrose University Lions.
In her team's 3-0 (25-16, 26-24 25-21) victory, the 5'9 outside recorded a game-high 12 kills to go along with seven digs and a service ace.
Jadyn Leong is an Emergency Medical Technician student at SAIT.

Brennen Willis - Men's Volleyball
SAIT Trojans men's volleyball player Brennen Willis made an impression in his first game in the Red and White this past weekend. The 6-foot-11 transfer from Mount Royal University helped the Trojans to a 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-16) victory over the Ambrose University Lions in their home opener this past weekend with his strong play in the middle.
Willis recorded five blocks to go along with nine kills to be named his team's Player of the Game.
Brennen Willis is a Welding Engineering Technology student at SAIT.
SAIT Trojans Team of the Week
Men's Hockey
The SAIT Trojans men's hockey team opened their season this past weekend with a pair of road games in Lac La Biche, Alta., against the Portage College Voyageurs, and were able to grab all four points possible from the weekend set.
On Friday, the Trojans came from behind to score a pair of second-period goals and win 2-1 over the home team.
Less than 24 hours later, the Trojans filled up the net in the way of an 8-1 decision to close out their weekend sweep of the Voyageurs.
