Trojans dump Broncos in three
OLDS, ALTA., (Nov. 30, 2018) — In their penultimate game of the first semester, the SAIT Trojans men's volleyball team captured their sixth-straight win.
Jarrett Noel (2nd year, Calgary, Geographic Information Systems) led the Trojans with 14 kills, as his team beat the host Olds College Broncos 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 26-24) in their Friday night Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) contest.
"I was talking to the guys, and I think it was just at different times of the game, we had something different working for us," said Trojans head coach Sean McKay. "We never really put it all together. . . It would have been nice to see them do that, but we'll take the win."
SAIT moves to 9-4 on the season, while the Broncos fall to 0-13.
Thundersky Walkingbear led the Broncos with a team-best 10 kills.
The teams finish off their fall semester schedule Saturday night at SAIT. First serve is set for 8pm.
"We're looking at it like we do every game; it is a chance to get better for both the guys who get on the court a lot and the guys who don't," McKay stated.
