Shooting woes doom Trojans
LETHBRIDGE, ALTA., (Oct. 13, 2018) — The SAIT Trojans women's basketball team had a tough time finding the bottom of the basket Saturday night.
The Trojans shot just 27 per cent from the field, as they fell 58-46 to the host Lethbridge College Kodiaks in their Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) game played in Lethbridge, Alta.
SAIT falls to 1-1 on the season, while the Kodiaks move to 1-0.
Anegor Wol (1st year, Edmonton, Alta., Academic Upgrading) led the Trojans with 11 points, while teammate Mel Thera (5th year, Winnipeg, Man., Emergency Medical Technology) added 10 points and eight rebounds.
Madi Gladstone led the Kodiaks with a game-high 12 points.
The Trojans will return to action next weekend when they take on St. Mary's University in an all-Calgary battle at Glenmore Christian Academy. Game time is set for 6pm.
