Trojans edged by Queens
RED DEER, ALTA., (Oct. 25, 2019) - The SAIT Trojans women's hockey team dug themselves a hole they nearly climbed out of.
After spotting the host Red Deer College Queens a three-goal lead, the Trojans came all the way back to tie it before eventually falling 4-3 in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) action Friday night in Red Deer, Alta.
SAIT falls to 0-3 on the season. The Queens move to 3-0.
Scoring for SAIT on the night was Tashel Scantlebury (5th year, Foxwarren, Man., Community Economic Development), Aislynn Nachtegaele (2nd year, Edmonton, Alta., Academic Upgrading) and Davina McLeod (4th year, Aklavik, NWT, Business Administration).
Replying for the Queens was Tyra Anderson and Braxtyn Shawara, while Camryn Wallan added two of her own.
The teams will finish their weekend set Saturday night at SAIT at 7pm.
