Make Some Noise for Mental Health 2024
Make Some Noise (MSN) for Mental Health is an award-winning post-secondary intiative created by the Trojan Outreach Program in 2015 to promote mental health awareness on SAIT campus, aiming to break down barriers, spark real conversations about mental health, and reinforce that mental health matters. In 2016, the campaign grew to an Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) wide initiative, and is now endorsed by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) in Alberta.
In its short history, the MSN campaign has been recognized nationally - winning the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Community Service Award (2015), as well as the Lieutenant Governor's Circle on Mental Health and Addiction with their True Imagination Award (2017).
For one month each year, ALL 17 ACAC institutions host on-campus events to increase the awareness and promote on-campus resources while breaking the stigma of mental health. Find out how you, or your group, can get involved by emailing david.miguez@sait.ca or donovan.jang@sait.ca.
You too can help Make Some Noise for Mental Health and help break the stigma!
