GOLF | ACAC Champs
Trojans continue their successes of the season at ACAC Championships as they now set their sights on the National competition.
The SAIT Trojans golf team continued their remarkable run of form at the ACAC Golf Championships held at the Alberta Springs Golf Resort in Red Deer, Alberta. Throughout the season, the Trojans had consistently showcased their prowess on the golf course in regional events, and this weekend was no exception as they aimed for the coveted opportunity to advance to Nationals.
In the Men's Individual category, Jadan Patel demonstrated his skill and determination, posting an impressive best score of the weekend with a remarkable 68. Patel's outstanding performance earned him a well-deserved silver medal, further solidifying his status as a top-notch golfer. Jaedon McConnell also delivered a strong showing, carding a stellar 69, which earned him a bronze medal in the Men's Individual category. These Trojans' remarkable consistency and competitive spirit played a pivotal role in their team's success.
The SAIT Men's Team, comprised of Jaedon McConnell, Jake Magee, Regan Colberg, and Jadan Patel, showcased their collective talent and determination, capturing the gold medal in the Men's Team category. With a combined score of +11 over the three rounds of golf, the Trojans demonstrated their teamwork and exceptional skills, proudly bringing home the Championship banner. The Trojans Women's Team comprised of Jenna Currie (4th place in this championship), Jasmine Lo, and Kelsey Duggan also found great success, as they secured the bronze medal in the Women's Team category, with a score of +144 over the three rounds of golf. As the Trojans celebrate their remarkable performance, they set their sights on the next challenge, as they look to make a mark on the national stage.
