RED DEER, ALTA., (Feb. 8, 2020) - In their quest for weekend sweeps, only the SAIT Trojans men's basketball team made good.
The Trojans men's and women's basketball teams hit the road Saturday night to take on the Red Deer College Kings and Queens. The men's side won their game 99-93, while the women fell 65-43.
In the men's game, the Trojans were led by guard Calvin Chambers (4th year, Memphis, Tenn., Business Administration). He scored a game-high 31 points - 19 of which came from the free-throw line.
He also added seven rebounds, five assists and five steals.

SAIT, who have now won six in a row, sees their record move to 13-3 on the season. Red Deer falls to 8-9.
In the night's earlier game, the Trojans women's team had a hard time making a basket just 24 hours after beating the same Queens team 69-67 at home.
They shot just 24 per cent from the field, and just 17 per cent from the three-point line, as they see their record fall to 4-12.
Lauren Bailey (4th year, Calgary, Bachelor of Business Administration) led the Trojans with 16 points and six steals.
