Trojans win one, lose one in Briercrest
CARONPORT, SASK., (Feb. 28, 2020) - The SAIT Trojans basketball teams split their Friday night road games in Saskatchewan.
Playing against the host Briercrest College Clippers in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) action, SAIT's men's team earned a 90-72 victory while the women's team fell 71-64.
In the men's game, the Trojans were led by Charlie Conner (3rd year, Lacey, Wash., Business Administration) and Talk Ross (3rd year, Orange Park, Fla., Business Administration). Both players has 20 points for SAIT, with Ross also adding 15 rebounds.
The win improves SAIT's record to 16-4. Briercrest, who are fighting for a playoff spot, falls to 9-11.
In the women's game, the Trojans received a 21-point performance from Anegor Wol (2nd year, Edmonton, Alta., Journalism), but it wasn't enough.
On the other side of the floor, Briercrest relied on Angenay Williams' 42-point night to help lead them to victory.
SAIT falls to 5-15, while the Clippers move to 8-12.
The teams will wrap up their respective regular seasons on Saturday afternoon - the women at noon and the men at 2pm.
