Trojans bounce Kodiaks in four sets
LETHBRIDGE, ALTA., (Oct. 18, 2019) - Make it two in a row to start the season for the SAIT Trojans men's volleyball team.
The Trojans headed south on Friday, and handed the host Lethbridge College Kodiaks a 3-1 (25-16, 17-25, 25-16, 25-23) loss in their Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) matchup.
SAIT moves to 2-0 on the young season. The Kodiaks fall to 0-1.
The Trojans lost all four games against Lethbridge College last season, so earning the 'W' on their court made the victory that much more special.
Jarett Noel (3rd year, Calgary, Geographic Information Systems) led the way for the Red and White, recording a game-high 18 kills to go along with 17 digs.
Teammate Maddux Greves (2nd year, Calgary, Bachelor of Business Administration) set up the majority of Noel's kills with 36 assists. He also added four service aces for good measure.
Carter Hansen paced the Kodiaks with a team-best eight kills.
The Trojans and Kodiaks will wrap up their home-and-home series Saturday night at SAIT at 8pm.
