Trojans pick up two wins in Olds

OLDS, ALTA., (Jan. 24, 2020) - The SAIT Trojans men's and women's volleyball teams made it quick Friday night.

Both teams earned three-set victories over the host Olds College Broncos in their Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) games - the women a 3-0 (26-24, 25-21, 25-23) win and the men a 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-23) decision.

The win by the women's side gives them three-straight wins after sweeping Medicine Hat College last weekend. Their record now stands at 5-14, while Olds falls to 2-15.

Jadyn Leong (3rd year, Calgary, Business Administration) had a big game for the Trojans, recording a game-high 17 kills to go along with 13 digs.

The victory by the men's team keeps them atop the ACAC South Division standings at 15-4. Olds falls to 4-13.

Veteran Mark Anderson (5th year, Calgary, Bachelor of Business Administration) led the Trojans with 13 kills.

The teams will play hosts on Saturday, as they welcome the Broncos to SAIT in a 6pm and 8pm start.
